Job Overview

People Dynamics is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join an Oil & Gas project in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in civil/structural engineering and a good understanding of engineering standards, project requirements, and Oil & Gas industry practices.

The role will involve providing civil and structural engineering support for Greenfield and Brownfield projects, coordinating with different engineering teams, and ensuring that all engineering work meets the required technical and QHSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

As a Civil Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing Civil and Structural Engineering support for Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
• Preparing, reviewing, and coordinating engineering deliverables.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable engineering codes, standards, and local regulations.
• Supporting technical engineering services and project requirements.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Preparing technical reports, drawings, and other engineering documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with QHSE policies and procedures.
• Supporting project teams in resolving technical and engineering issues.
• Working effectively under project deadlines and changing priorities.

Requirements

Candidates applying for this position should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of Civil and Structural Engineering codes and standards.
• Experience with Greenfield and/or Brownfield projects will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent international certification is preferred.
• Progressive experience in civil engineering within the upstream, midstream, or downstream Oil & Gas industry.
• Practical knowledge of structural design, soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and pipeline engineering related to Oil & Gas projects.
• The ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
