Job Responsibilities
As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s security team and ensuring that all security procedures are properly implemented.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, briefing, and supervising Security Officers during daily operations.
- Assigning daily duties and preparing security duty rosters.
- Conducting orientation sessions for newly hired security employees.
- Monitoring overall security operations throughout the hotel premises.
- Carrying out regular patrols to identify potential security or safety risks.
- Monitoring hotel entrances, exits, restricted areas, and CCTV systems.
- Ensuring that fire exits, emergency routes, and safety equipment remain accessible at all times.
- Checking and maintaining security equipment to ensure it remains in proper working condition.
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of Security Officers.
- Providing guidance, coaching, and support to security team members.
- Investigating accidents, security incidents, thefts, and other potential risks.
- Preparing accurate incident reports and maintaining security records.
- Responding effectively to emergencies and implementing preventive security measures.
- Coordinating with hotel management and relevant departments when security issues arise.
- Liaising with local police, CID, and other authorities when required.
- Conducting regular security audits, including key control and gate pass audits.
- Ensuring compliance with hotel policies, security procedures, and applicable legal requirements.
- Protecting guests, employees, visitors, and hotel property through effective security management.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in security, preferably within a hotel, hospitality, or luxury property environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to supervise, train, guide, and develop Security Officers.
- Good knowledge of hotel security procedures and safety standards.
- Understanding of emergency response procedures and risk prevention.
- Experience working with CCTV systems and other security equipment.
- Knowledge of incident investigation and security reporting.
- Experience conducting security inspections and audits.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with hotel management, guests, employees, and government authorities.
- Ability to remain calm and make responsible decisions during emergencies.
