Job Description
The Terminal Standards Supervisor monitors the cleaning services carried out by outsourced contractors at Hamad International Airport and makes sure the work meets the agreed scope and performance standards. The role involves joint cleaning audits with janitorial contractors in the passenger terminal, checking that safety standards are followed at all times, and keeping daily reporting complete so that each shift hands over cleanly to the next.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Carry out joint cleaning audits with janitorial contractors against the agreed scope of work and KPIs
- Make sure MATAR safety standards are upheld and cleaning activities are performed safely
- Check that cleaning suppliers follow MATAR procedures and standards in full
- Understand and use the documentation needed to carry out cleaning activities effectively
- Complete the daily shift report and take part in shift handover, raising any issues or concerns
- Work closely with the wider terminal team to keep standards consistent across shifts
Desired Candidate Profile
- High School, vocational qualification or Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Accredited cleaning certificates such as BICS or a similar qualification
- Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team
